North Carolina GIS Conference

The annual North Carolina GIS Conference returned to Raleigh this year, and I was honored to be on hand to bring greetings. The Conference took place February 17 and 18 at the Convention Center, and was the biggest NC GIS Conference to date, with about 1,000 attendees. North Carolina has one of the biggest GIS networks in the country, and is a consistent industry leader! It was a great learning experience for me, and I really enjoyed seeing all of the different uses of Geographic Information Systems.

The GIS field has experienced an industry boom in the last decade, and it is very exciting to see so many new mapping applications becoming more and more popular!

A special thanks to Mr. Tim Johnson, Director of the NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis for including me in the Conference!
