Downtown Amphitheter & Festival Site

Raleigh was truly alive on First Friday as people flooded into downtown on bikes, on foot, by car and the R-Line to enjoy the great assortment of art and music shows across town.
One of the most exciting events was celebrating the new downtown Amphitheater & Festival Site as it came to life with wonderful music and a packed house! This 5500 seat venue is a great addition to downtown and operated by the City of Raleigh! The Shimmer Wall makes for a spectacular backdrop, and is an excellent example of the enrichment public art can bring to a community. Thanks to everyone who came out for the inaugural evening, and I hope you will all have a chance to attend an event there soon. This venue is intended for both music and community events. There is an R-Line stop right at the entrance, and plenty of parking at the Convention Center deck.
